Bathroom Plumbing in Mallorca

This is the plumbing inside a bathroom renovation: where the water arrives, where the waste leaves, and what it takes to move either when the layout changes. It is not emergency plumbing – a burst pipe or a boiler on a Sunday is a job for a plumber you can call today, and this site does not do that. It matches bathroom projects with bathroom renovation companies that plan the pipework as part of the room.

Two pipes decide the layout

Every fixture needs water in and water out, and the second is the one that constrains the room. Supply pipes are small and can go almost anywhere. Waste pipes are larger, have to fall towards the stack or the drain, and cannot be persuaded uphill. A toilet in particular wants a short, direct route to the stack, which is why it is usually where it is, and why moving it across the room is a bigger decision than it looks.

So the first plumbing question in any renovation is where the stack is and what falls to it. A basin and a shower can move a fair way with a little floor depth; a toilet can move a little, or a lot with a raised floor, a boxed-in run or a different approach to the waste. A company will tell you which once it has seen the room, and a good one will price the layout both ways.

What the plumbing in a renovation usually covers

  • Supply and waste run to each fixture where the new layout puts it
  • Moving or extending the waste, with the fall it needs
  • The frame and the concealed cistern behind a wall-hung toilet
  • The shower valve set into the wall, and the outlets it feeds
  • Isolation valves where they can be reached later
  • The drain in a built shower floor or wet room
  • Connection to a heated towel rail or underfloor heating where the system allows
  • Pressure and flow checked before the wall is closed
  • Testing, and making good where pipes pass through walls and floors

Where the plumbing question leads

Bath to shower

The most plumbing-light change there is: the supply and the waste stay where the bath left them, and the floor between them does the work.

New bathrooms

Where the drain has to be found before the room can be drawn.

Waterproofing

Where every pipe pierces the membrane, and why that detail is on the same page as the pipes.

When it stops being bathroom plumbing

A new waste run across the house, a stack that has to be replaced, a supply that is undersized for the whole property, a water heater or a boiler – that is the building’s plumbing, and it belongs to a renovation contractor or a plumbing and heating company rather than to a bathroom project. The bathroom company will say so, and the request is often the same one sent to a different company.

The boundary is simple: if the work stays inside the bathroom and serves it, it is here. If it serves the house, it is not.

How your request reaches a company

Mallorca Bathrooms is a comparison service. A request for bathroom plumbing as part of a renovation goes to the bathroom renovation companies on our list; they quote the work and carry it out, and any agreement is between you and the company you pick.

  1. 01

    Describe the job

Tell us the property, roughly what you want and where it is. Photographs and a rough plan help, though neither is required.

  2. 02

    We match it

The request goes to companies that work in your area and take on this kind of job at this size.

  3. 03

    They quote you

Each company contacts you directly with its own price, timing and approach. We do not set any of it.

  4. 04

    You compare and choose

Put the quotes side by side and take the one you want, or none of them. Using the site costs you nothing.

Can the toilet move to the other wall?

Often, at a cost that depends on how far the waste has to travel to the stack and whether the floor has depth for the fall. A short move is routine; a long one may mean a raised floor or a boxed run. Ask for the layout to be priced with the toilet where it is and where you want it.

Do I need a separate plumber?

Usually not – the bathroom company brings its own or has one on the team, and prices the plumbing with the room. Where the work reaches the building’s stack or supply, a specialist may be needed, and the company will say.

Is this the page for a leak or a blocked drain?

No. This site matches planned bathroom projects with companies that renovate them; it is not a call-out service. For a leak today, a local plumber is the right call.
