Bathroom Renovation in Campos
Campos is farmhouses and village houses on the plain, and their bathrooms are on ground floors that meet the ground directly – which is the first thing a renovation has to deal with and the last thing anyone notices afterwards. Describe the house and we pass the request to bathroom renovation companies that work on the plain.

The floor that meets the ground
A ground-floor bathroom in a farmhouse sits on a floor that was laid on the earth, and the earth sends moisture up through it and into the base of the walls all winter. A renovation that tiles over that is a renovation that fails at the skirting within a couple of years; one that separates the floor from what is under it, gives the new floor its fall, waterproofs the wet area and finishes the walls in something that lets them dry is one that lasts. A company that works in farmhouses says this at the survey.
The rest is the finca bathroom: a room added late, a pipe through a thick wall, a small window, and a finish – plaster, the local stone, wood where it stays dry – that belongs to the building. Many of these houses are bought as second homes with one bathroom and a plan for three, and the new ones are planned as a plumbing project for the whole house before any single room is drawn.
The plain is hot in summer and damp in winter, and ventilation that actually moves air is part of the job.

Why does the floor need separating from the ground?
Because moisture rises through a floor laid on earth and into the base of the walls, and no finish survives that for long. Separating the floor is a step in the build-up before the fall and the waterproofing, and the companies that work in farmhouses price it in.
Can three bathrooms go into a farmhouse that had one?
Usually, as one plumbing project for the house: where the water can reach, where the waste can go, and how three drains leave a stone building. Plan the house first, then each room.
